The “Doing Business in India Report, 2020” was released by the UK India Business Council (UKIBC).  As per the report the business environment in India is improving and thus there is a greater opportunity for UK India collaboration in the business field.

Indian Army develops Secure Messaging Application- ‘SAI’

Indian Army launched a secured messaging application platform called ‘Secure Application for the Internet’ (SAI) on October 29, 2020. The application was launched In line with PM Modi’s ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat Mission’.

Telangana launches Dharani portal for land and property registration

Telangana CM  K Chandrasekhar Rao launched first of its kind Dharani Portal at Muduchintalapalli village in Medchal-Malkajgiri. The portal will be used to store land records and for property registrations digitally. Thus, the need  for a human interface and eliminating the scope for graft will be abolished. The application would prove to be a revolutionary system in the Revenue and Registration departments.

Cabinet approves MoC between India-Japan in ICT

The Union Cabinet approved the Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) that was signed between India and Japan on Cooperation in the field of Information and Communication Technologies on October 29, 2020.

Highlights of the Operation Meri Saheli

Indian Railways has launched an initiative called “Meri Saheli” on October 29, 2020. The initiative focuses on action of the security of women across all zones. The primary objective of the initiative is to provide safety and security to lady passengers travelling by trains for their entire journey from source station to destination station.

What is SERB – POWER initiative?

Union Minister for Science & Technology, Earth Sciences and Health & Family Welfare, Dr Harsh Vardhan,  launched a Scheme called “SERB-POWER (Promoting Opportunities for Women in Exploratory Research)” on October 29, 2020. The initiative is exclusively meant for women scientists on an e-platform.

Green Delhi App- launched to redress pollution complaints in Delhi

The Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, launched the Green Delhi mobile application  on October 29, 2020. This app will be used by citizens to bring into government’s notice the pollution causing activities. The application can be downloaded from the google play store.
