Union Cabinet approved MoU between India and UK in ICT.

The Union Cabinet chaired by PM Modi has approved the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and United Kingdom (UK) on November 4, 2020. The MoU was signed in Information Communication Technologies and Telecommunications (ICT) sector.

MoU between India and UK in Medical Product Regulation got cabinet approval.

The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and UK in the field of medical product regulation on November 4, 2020.

India and Israel: MoU in Health and Medicine approved.

The Union Cabinet chaired by PM Modi approved the Memorandum of Understanding on November 4, 2020 between India and Israel in the field of Health and Medicine.

Prasar Bharti Signed MoU to launch education TV channels.

The Prasar Bharati and Bhaskaracharya National Institute for Space Applications and Geo-Informatics signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on November 4, 2020. As per the MoU, all the 51 DTH education channels will be available to all DD Fresh Dish viewers as DD co-branded channels.

Tourist Facilitation Centre inaugurated in Kerala under PRASAD SCHEME.

The Union Minister of State (I/C) for Tourism and Culture Shri Prahlad Singh Patel inaugurated the “Tourist Facilitation Centre” at Guruvayur, Kerala on November 4, 2020. The facilitation centre was constructed under the PRASAD Scheme by the Ministry of Tourism.

PM Modi to chair virtual roundtable conference today.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair a virtual global investor roundtable conference on November 5, 2020. The conference  is being organised by the Ministry of Finance and the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF). The conference would provide an opportunity to the leading global investors and Indian business leaders to engage with senior policy makers. The leaders could further accelerate the growth of the international investments in the country.

Centre constituted committee to review guidelines on Television Rating Agency.

The Information and Broadcasting Ministry has constituted a four-member committee so as to review the guidelines on television rating agencies. The committee would be headed by Shashi Shekhar Vempati, the CEO of Prasar Bharati. Other members of the committee include- Dr. Shalabh, Professor of Statistics from IIT Kanpur, Rajkumar Upadhyay, Executive Director of C-Dot and Professor Pulak Ghosh of the Decision Sciences Centre for Public Policy.

Advanced Version of Pinaka Rocket test fired successfully.

The Defence Research Development Organization test fired the advanced version of Pinaka rocket successfully on November 5, 2020. The rocket was test fired from Chandipur, Odisha.

CARAT Joint Naval Exercise – held by Bangladesh and US.

The Navies of Bangladesh and United States held a joint Naval Exercise called CARAT on November 4, 2020. CARAT is the abbreviation for the Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training. The bilateral exercise was held at Chittagong, Bangladesh.

Climate change- US officially withdraws from Paris agreement.

The United States has become the first nation in the world to officially withdraw from the Paris climate agreement on November 4, 2020.

West Bengal announces initiatives for refugee, SC and ST people.

The West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced a number of initiatives for the refugees,  Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe  population on November 4, 2020 . The schemes include land pattas and setting up of cultural and development boardsin the state.
