Fifteenth Finance Commission to submit its report on 9th November

The Fifteenth Finance Commission (FC) has finalised its report on fund devolution from the Centre to States three years after it was constituted. The FC has finalised the norms for five years counting from 2021-22 to 2025-26.

Strategic Policy and Facilitation Bureau- to be set up by AYUSH ministry and Invest India

The Ministry of AYUSH and Invest India has planned to set up “Strategic Policy and Facilitation Bureau (SPFB)”. The bureau will facilitate systematic growth of AYUSH sector.

Draft rules for Industrial Relations Code- To be implemented by April, 2021.

The Ministry of Labour have notified the draft rules for the Industrial Relations Code, 2020. These rules have to be  implemented by April, 2021.

IISc and Indian Oil join hands for Hydrogen Generation Technology

The IISc and the Indian Oil Corporation Research and Development Centre have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop Hydrogen Generation Technology based on biomass gasification. It will be developed in order to produce Fuel Cell Grade Hydrogen at an affordable price.

How did GST collection hits 8-month high in October 2020?

The Union Ministry of Finance recently notified total amount of GST revenue collected in the month of October stands around  Rs 1, 05, 155 crore.  The collected revenue is an 8-month high figure.

UNESCO included Panna in “World network of Biosphere Reserves”

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has recently included the Panna National Park of Madhya Pradesh under its “World network of Biosphere reserves”.  Apart from the Panna National Park, Fuvahmulahand Addu Atoll of Maldives has also been included under the list this year.
