- Ministry of Finance launches Business Reforms Action Plan ranking of states
- Kaziranga park set to be expanded by 3,053 hectares
- INDRA NAVY: The 11th edition of exercise INDRA NAVY has begun.
On September 5, 2020, Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs launched the fourth edition of Business Reforms Action Plan ranking of states.
The Business Reform Action Plan 2018-19 includes 180 reform points that covers business regulatory areas such as Single Window System, Access to Information, Labour, Environment, etc. The rankings are being launched since 2015.
The top ten ranks under the State Reform Action, 2019 are as follows
- Rank 1: Andhra Pradesh
- Rank 2: Uttar Pradesh
- Rank 3: Telangana
- Rank 4: Jharkhand
- Rank 5: Madhya Pradesh
- Rank 6: Chhattisgarh
- Rank 7: Himachal Pradesh
- Rank 8: Rajasthan
- Rank 9: West Bengal
- Rank 10: Gujarat
he Assam Government recently added 3,053 hectares (884 sq km) to Kaziranga National Park. Kaziranga is home to Asiatic one-horned rhinos. The additions will connect the park with Karbi Anglong hills and Nameri National Park.
The Kaziranga National Park hosts two-thirds of world’s great one-horned rhinoceroses. It is a world heritage site. It was declared a national park in 1974. It was declared a tiger reserve in 2007.
The IUCN status of one-horned rhinos is “Vulnerable”. It was updated from “threatened” in April 2020.
INDRA NAVY
The 11th edition of exercise INDRA NAVY has begun.
It is a biennial bilateral maritime exercise between Indian Navy and Russian Navy.
Initiated in 2003, Ex INDRA NAVY epitomises the long-term strategic relationship between the two Navies.
